Pinakastra™ Cloud Console - Volumes
OpenStack volumes are block storage devices that can be attached to instances in an OpenStack cloud environment. They provide persistent storage that can be used independently of the virtual machine's lifecycle, enabling data to be stored separately from compute resources. Volumes are scalable and can be created, attached, detached, and deleted dynamically, offering flexibility and efficient resource management within OpenStack deployments.

Pinakastra™ Cloud Console - Volume Backups
Volume backups in OpenStack allow users to create point-in-time copies of their volumes. These backups capture the data stored on the volume at a specific moment, providing a mechanism for data protection and disaster recovery. Users can schedule backups, retain multiple backup copies, and restore volumes from backups when needed. Backup policies can be customised to meet specific retention and recovery requirements.
There are options Full Backup and Incremental Backup
Pinakastra™ Cloud Console - Volume Snapshots
Volume snapshots in OpenStack are similar to backups but are more lightweight and instantaneous. They capture the state of a volume at a particular moment by creating a read-only copy of the volume's data. Snapshots are typically used for short-term data protection, cloning volumes, or creating templates for new volumes. Like backups, users can schedule snapshots, retain multiple snapshots, and restore volumes from snapshots as necessary. However, unlike backups, snapshots are typically stored in the same storage system as the original volume, making them more suitable for short-term or temporary data protection needs.
